Klobuchar visits Park Rapids today
U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar is spending this week visiting communities in northern Minnesota to discuss economic development and rural health care issues.
In Park Rapids today (Wednesday), Klobuchar will tour local health care facilities and discuss rural health care issues.
Klobuchar is holding roundtable discussions with businesses and local officials on rural health care and economic development issues, including tourism as well this week.
She is also touring several businesses in the region - including Arctic Cat in Thief River Falls, Granite Gear in Two Harbors and Mattracks in Karlstad.
In addition, Klobuchar will visit Voyageurs National Park on Friday and meet with local veterans.
Klobuchar will also participate in several Independence Day parades.

Wednesday, July 1
-11:45 a.m. Roundtable meeting with area businesses and officials about economic development, tourism and rural health care. Hiawatha Beach Resort, 10904 Steamboat Bay Loop NW, Walker.
-2:45 p.m. Meeting on rural health care and tour of the new hospital building. St. Joseph's Area Health Services, 600 Pleasant Ave., Park Rapids.
-4:45 p.m. Roundtable meeting with area businesses and officials about economic development, tourism and rural health care. Beltrami County Administration Building, 701 Minnesota Ave. NW, Bemidji.
