Klobuchar needs to do some research

Email

I recently contacted Sen. Amy Klobuchar regarding the draconian gun restrictions currently being demagogue by big government elitists. Sen. Klobuchar’s form letter response included a flawed definition of the Second Amendment to the Constitution.

She stated, “… the Second Amendment gives American citizens the right to own guns for collection, protection, and sport.”

The Constitution doesn’t give us rights, God does, the Constitution only codifies them as law, and the Second Amendment assures us the tools necessary to protect those rights from the federal government.

James Madison wrote in Federalist #46, “Americans have the right and advantage of being armed, unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms.”

George Mason stated, “To disarm the people is the best and most effectual way to enslave them...”

Previous correspondence with then Sen. Mark Dayton on gun restrictions included the 100+ million victims of government genocide began with three actions: Gun control, Gun registration, Gun confiscation.

Dayton claimed, “we are too civilized for it to happen here.” I reminded him that Germany, in the 30s & 40s, represented the peak of civilization, and that he should re-examine our history with the American Indian, government sponsored killing of blacks; and more recently, Waco, Texas. The first gun laws written were to deny non-whites firearms!

We have enough gun laws today; adding the proposed draconian legislation constitutes a deadly descent from freedom to tyranny.

Gun control for public safety is a dangerous lie; there is only people control, and only for the law abiding. This is the first nation in human history created with the unique idea that the citizens grant rights to government, not the other way around.
