Charges filed against family friend in kidnapping, murder of 5-year-old

Klein's 17 points lead Panthers in loss to C-I

Katie Klein hit five 3-pointers and finished with a career-high 17 points in Park Rapids' 78-34 Mid-State Conference girls basketball loss to Crosby-Ironton last Tuesday night at Crosby.

Three players had double-doubles for C-I. Chelsey Bonsante's 24 points and 11 steals, Missy Foote's 12 points and 13 rebounds, and Shannon Lundgren's 12 points and 11 rebounds led the Rangers, who led 37-15 at the half en route to improving to 1-1 on the season.

Justine Rittgers (6), Charity Ridlon (4) and Katelyn Hilmanowski (4) combined for 14 points while Megan Grimes (6), Ridlon (5) and Hilmanowski (5) combined for 16 rebounds. Amber Booge led the way with three assists as the Panthers fell to 0-2 in conference play and 0-3 overall.
