June A. (Leiste) Wilmot, 74, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 8, 2014 in Park Rapids.
She was born June 12, 1939, to Anna and Avalt Leiste.
June was a social butterfly with an amazing gift of hospitality. These gifts served her well in her roles at the YWCA, Park Point Manor and Benedictine Health Center. In retirement, these gifts were put to use with her participation in the Red Hat Society and TOPS Club.
June is survived by her husband of 56 years, Richard; children, Beverly (Ken) Hokkanen, Terry (Lyn) Wilmot, and Larry (Cindy) Wilmot; grandchildren, Ben (Laurie) Hokkanen, Sara Hokkanen (Clint Gunkel), Michael (Christine) Wilmot, Bruce Wilmot, Richard Wilmot and Peter Wilmot; great-grandchildren, Lance, Sean, Owen and Sawyer; sisters, Betty (Larry) Everett, Lorraine Weiler, Alice Johnson and sisters-in-law Marge Peacock and Lois Wilmot; and hosts of nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was preceded in death by parents, Anna and Avalt Leiste; and grandson Tommy Wilmot.
Gathering of family and friends: 5-8 p.m. Friday, March 14, at Bethany Baptist Church in Duluth where June was a life-long member.

There will also be a memorial service in Park Rapids, at a later date, for the many friends she made since moving there.
