JONATHON DOBBELAERE

Johnathon William Dobbelaere, 31, of Walker, formerly of Silver Bay, and the son of Nancy Weeks, unexpectedly entered eternity Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 at Sanford Health Medical Center in Fargo, N.D. with his loved ones at his side.

John was born April 28, 1982 in Two Harbors to Robert and Nancy (Brown) Dobbelaere. He attended public school in Silver Bay where he also grew into early manhood.

As a young man, John ventured to Park Rapids where he gained employment with Lamb-Weston/RDO and was blessed with his first daughter, Deja Rose.

In 2007, John met and fell in love with Krista Wind of Cass Lake. The young couple made their home in Bemidji where John worked for the Palace Casino in Cass Lake. They were blessed with two daughters, Destiny Rose and Desirae Sunshine Rose, and a son, Cliff.

John and Krista have made their home in Walker for the past three years. John has worked as a hotel supervisor for the Northern Lights Casino near Walker for the past year. He loved the outdoors; especially when he could be out with his son on their favorite fishing spots. He enjoyed watching sports; especially, hockey which he played himself as a boy. Above all, John devoted his life to his precious soul mate, Kristi, his children and his mother who he loved with all his heart.

He will be lovingly remembered by his life partner, Kristi Wind of Walker; his four children, Deja Rose Dobbelaere, Destiny Rose Dobbelaere, Desirae Sunshine Rose Dobbelaere, and Cliff Cloud Dobbelaere; mother, Nancy Weeks of Park Rapids; father, Robert (Patricia) Dobbelaere of Wisconsin; two brothers, Robert Dobbelaere of Park Rapids and Thomas (Jennifer) Dobbelaere of Moody AFB, Georgia; sister, Kymberly Weeks of Park Rapids; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his grandfather, David Brown; grandmother, Carol Brown; and his stepdad, Kermit Weeks who died on Sept. 7, 2013.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids with Rev. David Cripe officiating. Music selections will be played from the Jones-Pearson CD library including "I Can Only Imagine," "The Old Rugged Cross," "When I Get Where I'm Going" and "Amazing Grace."

Active casket bearers: Robert Dobbelaere, Thomas Dobbelaere, Jared Williams, Garrett Gumtow, Aaron Wind, Brent Brown Nicholas Carlson and Joel Carlson.

Honorary casket bearers: Grandpa Brown and Kermit Weeks.

Interment: Sawtooth Mountain Cemetery, Silver Bay.

Coffee and bars will be served at the funeral home following the service.
