Update: Missing 5-year-old from fatal Bemidji fire found alive

It's beginning to look like Christmas

Downtown Park Rapids is looking festive after a Christmas tree was placed on Main over the weekend. Volunteers decorated the tree Monday morning. Wreaths on each street light were also spruced up by downtown volunteers.

Those who helped with the tree decoration included Duane Trosdahl, Paul Nagel, Jeff Johnson and Mike Wagner from Minnesota Power and Pete Young (Y Steak House), Travis Little and Pat Ament (R&R Rental) from the community. R&R Rental provided two lifts to help place the lights. This year's tree was donated anonymously. Steve and Robin Walsh of Dick Walsh Forest Products, along with Paul Utke and Jack Walsh, put up the tree Sunday afternoon. See photos of the tree being placed on Main at www.parkrapidsenterprise.com. The official tree lighting event is Friday. Go to pages 9A and 13A for details about the downtown festivities.
