International Falls sets record low on Sunday; Park Rapids in the 30s

It was a frosty start to the morning in parts of the Northland on Sunday, with International Falls recording a record low temperature.


The National Weather Service reported that the morning low in International Falls was 30 degrees. The previous record for June 2 was 32 degrees, set in 1969, 1982 and 2009. The normal low for the date is 44 degrees.

Crane Lake reported a morning low of 28 degrees on Sunday. Hibbing and Embarrass dropped to 33 degrees.
