Hubbard County in winter weather advisory

Hubbard County is in the southern end of a front that could cause tricky driving conditions by afternoon. The National Weather Service out of Grand Forks has issued a winter weather advisory that stretches from northeast Montana to northeast Minnesota, including Hubbard County.

The exact trajectory of the storm is not known, but the NWS is predicting anywhere from 2 to 5 inches of snow with decreased visibility due to gusty winds.

Here is the extended forecast for the Hubbard County region:

Today, a chance of rain and snow before noon, then snow. Temperature falling to around 27 by 5pm. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tonight Snow likely with areas of blowing snow before midnight, then a chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 18. Blustery, with a northwest wind 18 to 22 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Partly sunny, with a high near 21. North northwest wind 11 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.
