Hubbard County Soil and Water Conservation taking tree orders
The Hubbard County Soil and Water Conservation District is now taking orders for conservation grade trees and shrubs scheduled to be picked up May 4-6, 2012. A variety of deciduous, conifers and shrubs are available to choose from. Orders may be placed until April but quantities are limited so ordering early assures you will get the species you want.
Planting trees has many benefits. Not only do they provide shade and beauty, but they have many other benefits, as well. They reduce runoff, help with erosion, improve air quality, provide oxygen, and are a proven stress reliever. They also provide much needed food, protection and habitat for birds and animals.
An order form may be downloaded at www.hubbardswcd.org or picked up at the office at 212 2nd St. W., Park Rapids.
