Hockey fan still in serious condition; Oslo man charged posts bail

UND Police Chief Duane Czapiewski said officers arrested Peter Chwialkowski on suspicion that he punched Smith, who was unconscious on the ground when police arrived.

Chwialkowski, 28, Oslo, Minn., was booked on an aggravated-assault charge. He posted $1,000 bond and was released Sunday. He's expected to have a preliminary hearing in November.
