Highway 71 construction in Wadena to resume after holiday
Reconstruction of U.S. Highway 71 will continue next week with a road closure lasting approximately two weeks, according to Jade Berube, the city of Wadena's engineer.
Closure of the road could begin as early as the Tuesday after Memorial Day, Berube said. The contractor will replace and grade the top soil and pave the final lift of the bituminous pavement. They will also do some additional concrete work, he said. The detour will be up.
After this reconstruction is finished, the only remaining part of the project is turf restoration, Berube said.
