Helicopter fly-in part of this year’s Night to Unite event in Park Rapids
Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office is hosting the 5th annual Night to Unite from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5 at Heartland Park.
Everyone is invited to attend to meet and interact with law enforcement officers from the sheriff’s office and Park Rapids Police Department. Members of the local fire departments, Hubbard First Response and North Memorial Ambulance will also be present. Included this year is a fly-in by both Sanford and North Memorial Air Care helicopters (weather permitting).
The sheriff’s office will also have members of the mounted posse, boat and water patrol, Hubbard/ Wadena Emergency Response Unit, Explorers program, ATV patrol, K-9 unit, Sentenced to Serve, corrections and communications attending the event.
Activities include a dunk tank, drunk goggles display, child identification fingerprints and a K-9 demonstration at 5 p.m. The local band “Incredibly Real” will be performing.
A light meal will be offered free of charge.
Sheriff Cory Aukes is encouraging everyone to bring their families, get to know local law enforcement and have fun.
Hubbard First Response, Aviands Food Service and Nei Bottling of Bemidji are also supporting this event.
