The heaviest band has moved away from the region, with just a light dusting expected today, said National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Makowski. At most that will e an inch or two.

Snow totals up to 15 inches were recorded northwest of Hubbard County, he said, with areas around Bemidji getting 8 inches.

Major county roads and state highways had been plowed by 7 a.m., but County Road 49 had not seen a plow yet.

Crews are out and have been since early morning. Winds are blowing the fluffy snow onto the roadways, complicating visibility. Winds are expected to pick up throughout the day.
