Remington Hagen will always remember the ending of his first varsity boys golf meet.

On his final hole at Monday's Wolfpack Invitational at Walker's Tianna Country Club, the Park Rapids eighth grader aced the 184-yard No. 15 hole. Hagen used a 5-iron to record his first career hole-in-one.

"I kept thinking that I was going to get a hole-in-one," said Hagen. "I just wanted to hit it on the green. My shot hit before the green, bounced twice and then rolled in the cup. I didn't see it. I thought it went off the green, but a guy in my group said it went in the cup. That was pretty cool."

That shot helped the Panthers finish 11th in this 15-team meet with a 400. CJ Hess led Park Rapids with a 93 and Wyatt Derman followed with a 94. Hagen's 106 and Andre Schaum's 107 rounded out the team score.
