Perham captured its ninth consecutive title with its best score of the season while Park Rapids also hit a season high at last Saturday's Mid-State Conference gymnastics meet at Perham.

Perham, which is rated No. 1 in the latest Class A poll and is seeking its ninth consecutive Section 8A title and eighth straight state Class A title, won the conference championship with a 149.60. Detroit Lakes was second with a 137.975 while the Panthers were third with a 112.90. That score topped Park Rapids' previous high of 111.80.

Based on this meet and conference duals during the regular season, Park Rapids landed four members on the all-conference team. Emily Klingenberg and Cassie Baxter received all-conference honors while Jessi Andersen and Lauren Rossman were all-conference honorable mention selections. Klingenberg also received an all-conference academic award.

Klingenberg and Andersen turned in top 10 performances last Saturday. Klingenberg used a ninth-place 8.50 on balance beam to finish ninth in all-around with a season-best 30.30 while Andersen finished ninth in vault with an 8.35 and tied for 10th place in all-around with a 29.50.

The Panthers used Andersen's 8.35, Klingenberg's 8.25, Sarena Kinkel's 7.90 and Baxter's 7.80 for a 32.30 in vault. Perham's Carly Petersen took first with a 9.85.

On balance beam, the Panthers received a season-high 29.50 behind Klingenberg's season-high 8.50, Lauren Rossman's season-high 7.95, Andersen's 7.15 and Kinkel's 5.90. Perham's Kelsi Vomacka took first with a 9.775.

Andersen tied her season best with a 7.85 to lead the Panthers in floor exercise. Klingenberg's 7.15 and a pair of 6.60s by Kayla Andersen and Savannah Gatewood led to a 28.20 team score. Vomacka led the way with a 9.80.

On uneven parallel bars, the Panthers received a 22.90 behind Klingenberg's 6.40, Baxter's 6.30, Jessi Andersen's 6.15 and Kinkel's 4.05. Vomacka also had the top score on bars with a 9.55.

Vomacka won the all-around title with a 38.925.

In the junior varsity meet, the Panthers tallied an 89.65 to finish second behind Perham's 128.45. Leading the Panthers were Kendra Anderson (7.60) and Jess Petrie (7.30) in vault; Baxter (6.40) and Anderson (5.80) on beam; Rossman (6.30), Petrie (6.20) and Anderson (5.85) in floor; and Kayla Andersen (4.40) and Anderson (3.70) on bars. Anderson was eighth in all-around with a 22.95 while Tiffeny Hansen (20.50) and Amy Klein (19.30) followed.

Rounding out the all-conference team were Perham's Vomacka, Petersen, Mikaela Eickschen and Satera Montella; Detroit Lakes' Amy Crawford, Jordyn Peterson and Jess Stelter; and Frazee's Jessica Irish and Emma Buhr.

The other all-conference honorable mention gymnasts were Perham's Jordan Martinson and Alexis Peichel; Detroit Lakes' Maddie Hoffert and Allison Berg; and Frazee's Jerica Totland and Montana Osterman.

Detroit Lakes is hosting the Section 8A meet today (Saturday).
