Area "dignitaries" arrived Monday morning for the DaVita Dialysis Center's official groundbreaking, to be located at 705 Park Ave. South. Plans call for the dialysis center to be open May 15, according to nephrologist Dr. Jeffrey Skogen. The center will add five to seven jobs, with room for expansion. The move was driven by the length of time required for dialysis - up to five hours - and frequency - three times a week.
