The Forest Riders Snowmobile Club is responsible for grooming all 257 miles of grant-in-aid trails in the region. Grooming begins Monday mornings and continues through the week, usually stopping Thursdays to get the trails ready for the weekends. The club is compensated by the mile. Club president, Andy Nagel said that usually works out to $420 per mile by the end of the season. The club has been in existence since the 1970s.
