Grant opportunities in Lake Emma Township
Lake Emma Township is offering Healthy Lakes Partnership grants to organizations with a mission to preserve the quality of township lakes through projects directed at healthy water quality, improved fish and wildlife habitat and aquatic invasive species prevention.
The Healthy Lakes Partnership Grant Program provides funding to citizen-led lake and river improvement projects..
Applications are now being accepted for the 2013 Lake Emma Township Healthy Lakes Partnership Grants. Funds are available to organizations, not private citizens. Funding for projects will be available through the grant program at a match of 2:1. For every $1 contributed by Lake Emma Township, the applicant must match 50 cents toward the project. Grantee match can include in-kind labor.
Maximum grant dollars budgeted for 2013 will be $14,000. Projects must take place within the township.
Applications will be reviewed by the advisory board and resource specialists who will make recommendations for funding to the township board. Grant recipients will be notified following the April township board meeting.
