Grand Forks mother charged with smoking fake pot with teenage daughter
A Grand Forks woman is accused of buying synthetic marijuana and smoking it with her 13-year-old daughter and two other teenagers.
Susan Eng, 41, is set for a preliminary hearing April 18 on a misdemeanor charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a felony charge of abuse or neglect of a child.
According to a Grand Forks police report, Eng told a detective she bought the synthetic marijuana for her daughter and her daughter's friends, two boys ages 16 and 17, and then smoked it with them Feb. 21.
The report says Eng let the boys stay overnight at her home when they were listed as absenting juveniles, which means they were either runaways or were not abiding their parents' rules.
