One of the strengths of the Park Rapids-Menahga boys hockey team this season has been the ability to score on the power play.

The Panthers, who have scored 27 goals on 81 power-play opportunities, didn't produce with a man advantage Tuesday night.

Thief River Falls, which is rated No. 7 in the latest state Class A poll, allowed only one power-play goal in six situations to spark a 5-1 win over the Panthers at the Ted O. Johnson Ice Arena.
