GF police investigating gunshot death of 24-year-old

Grand Forks, ND -  A 24-yer-old man died after suffering multiple gunshot wounds early this morning at a Grand Forks apartment complex, and police are asking for the public’s help in finding two people of interest.

Officers were dispatched to 2021 S. 17th St., Apt. 201, at 1:46 a.m. for a report of a disturbance involving a firearm.

When police arrived, officers found the victim. “The victim was transported to Altru Hospital, where he later died of these injuries,” a news release from the Grand Forks Police Department said.

Officers are requesting the public’s help in locating men seen leaving the area on foot.

The investigation is ongoing, and anyone who may have heard or seen anything is asked to call police at (701) 787-8000.

Officers began knocking on doors in the complex about 2 a.m. and they could be seen going through trash at the complex this morning. Police haven't said whether the general public is in danger, and no other details were immediately known.
