Downtown Park Rapids was the place to be Sunday despite steady rain falling most of the day.

The 3rd Annual Bite of Park Rapids Food & Art Fair had a wide variety of food and art vendors, face painting, food contests and music.

A large tent in the center of Main kept people mostly dry and nearly unlimited food and beverage options kept people content.

Many people said the Bite drew them downtown Sunday because it was a much better option than staying indoors at the lake.

Bands Chasing Clarence, Absolute Grüv and Rio Trio played through the rain, with the stage covered in tarp.

Kids and adults made the most of the day, dancing in the rain and participating in a seed spitting contest. Jeff Grotte, of Albertville won the corn dog eating contest.
