Friday Afternoon/Evening Forecast Discussion
Good Afternoon! We’ve made it to Friday, and the weather is nearly perfect! Some cumulus clouds have built up this afternoon, as temperatures have now warmed into the low 80s. The weather will remain pleasant through the evening, as temperatures fall back into the 70s.
Wind: S/SE 5-15 mph
Most of the area will start off the night with a partly cloudy sky, but clouds will be increasing from the south. A few spotty showers are also possible, but mainly south of I-94 and Highway 10. With the increased cloud cover, temperatures will be in the 60s in the southern valley, but may fall into the upper 50s near the US/Canada border.
Wind: S 5-15 mph
The cloud cover will continue into Saturday, and scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop through the day. Not expecting any severe weather, but some periods of heavy rainfall are certainly possible. With a little more sunshine, temperatures will be the warmest in northeast North Dakota, and northwest Minnesota.
Wind: S/SE 10-20 mph
Scattered showers and thunderstorms will again be possible on Sunday, as a cold front will be moving through. Severe weather is not expected. This cold front will move out by Sunday night, and high-pressure will be building in for the start of the workweek. Expect plenty of sunshine Monday and Tuesday, with highs in the 70s and 80s. Temperatures will gradually warm up through next week, but there is a chance of t-storms by Thursday and Friday.
Have a great weekend!
