'Fresh Take' opens at Nemeth Art Center
Nemeth Art Center (formerly North Country Museum of Arts) presents "Fresh Take," featuring the works of artists Nate Luetgers and Sam Ekren, including Ekren's "Light Show" (above). Nate Luetgers' works are a delicious feast for the eyes. He works in several mediums including pencil, acrylic, airbrush and oil. "The rich history and pure elegance of the southern life..." has inspired much of his work. Sam Ekren's work in photography and video intrigues the mind and soul. "Capturing images through a lens, of any kind, is a way for me to focus on my intention of combining imagination with the real world." A reception for the artists will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 11 in the Great Gallery. Refreshments and hors d'oeurves will be served. The show runs through Saturday, June 25. Art center hours are 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It's located at 3rd Street and Court Avenue in Park Rapids.
