Former N.D. workers' compensation director won't serve prison time but must pay fines and perform 1,000 hours of community service
Former workers' compensation director Charles "Sandy" Blunt was given a deferred sentenced this afternoon for misusing funds at the agency.
The judge ordered him to a two-year sentence with deferred imposition, meaning Blunt won't spend time in prison if he meets terms of his release.
The sentence also calls for Blunt to pay a $2,000 fine, $750 in fees and perform 1,000 hours of community service.
He was not ordered to pay restitution.
