The Fourth of July fireworks celebration has become a big part of the holiday each year. Each year enough money has been raised so that local people and visitors to the area can enjoy one of the best fireworks displays in the state.

Rotary Club fund organizers are hoping to match last year’s fireworks show and even become just a little bit better. That won’t happen without many donations from people like you. Please consider matching your donation from last year, or if you haven’t contributed in past years, making this a tradition and helping us out.

The money received for the fireworks goes entirely into the Fourth of July fireworks celebration, which is completely funded by donations.

The fireworks cost about $23,000 plus insurance. More is added to the show each year to make them even better.

Donations are 100 percent tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Please consider making a donation now as time is running out and before you know it, July will be here.

Go to www.parkrapidsrotary.com and click on the Rotary Fireworks Fund link on the homepage.

Or write a check to the Rotary Fireworks Fund, PO Box 704, Park Rapids, MN 56470. You will be emailed a receipt for your donation.
