Fifth person charged in drug-related murder in Cash Wise parking lot
FARGO – A fifth person has been charged in connection with the drug-related murder of a 26-year-old man near a south Fargo grocery store in March.
Court documents filed with the charges say police discovered through their investigation into the stabbing death of Rolandas House that Slack had lent her cell phone to another woman, Tamara Clapper, 23, in setting up a fake drug deal with House in order to lure him to the Cash Wise parking lot where he was murdered by Wade Garrett, 19.
Garrett pleaded guilty in House’s murder in April, followed by Tamara Clapper in May.
Garrett told investigators he and several other people lured House out to the fake drug deal in order to steal back money and drugs he had taken from another man, Alexander Clapper, Tamara’s brother.
Alexander Clapper and his father Arlen have also been charged in House‘s murder.
Slack allegedly initially denied any involvement in the sham drug deal that led to House’s death, but later admitted to lending her cell phone out the night he was killed.
Court documents say Slack set up the fake drug deal in the Cash Wise parking lot, and had contact with both Clapper and House around the time of the homicide.
