FARGO – Police are looking for a man who ran over an officer here earlier tonight.

Lt. Joel Vettel said officers are looking for 49-year-old Jack Christensen after he struck an officer with his van in the Busy Bubbles parking lot, 2102 12th St. N., about 8 p.m.

Police wanted to interview Christensen about a disturbance on Sunday in Fargo that he was involved with, Vettel said.

Officers received a tip Christensen was at the laundromat.

When officers approached his van, Christensen put the vehicle into gear and accelerated at a high rate of speed, striking an officer, Vettel said.

He said the officer was taken by ambulance to Sanford Health, where he is being treated for his injuries. The officer’s name and condition have not been released, Vettel said.

Christensen was last seen driving a tan Venture van with temporary paper plates that say “Auto Center.”

Anyone with any information about Christensen’s whereabouts is asked to call (701) 241-5777.
