FARGO - The Fargo man who was found dead after he crashed his motorcycle on Saturday night was Clinton J. Ewalt, police said today.

Police were dispatched at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday to the accident in the 100 block of 27th Street North, where Ewalt, a 34-year-old, was found dead. He'd been riding north on 27th Street North, near Rick's Bar, and crashed on the street's east side.

Investigators weren't yet sure if Ewalt had a medical condition that caused the crash, or if the accident killed him, police said in a news release Sunday.

Ewalt's identity was initially withheld pending notification of his family.

A caller told 911 dispatchers Ewalt's jacket was tight around his neck and no blood was in sight, according to an e-mailed briefing of police calls.
