Fargo man arrested on suspicion of DUI after hitting trooper's car
FARGO - A North Dakota Highway Patrol officer was injured Wednesday when his patrol car was hit by a drunken driver.
According to the Highway Patrol:
Trooper Luke Hendrickson was stopped at the intersection of Cass County Road 17 and 40th Avenue South about 6 p.m. during his routine patrol.
Hendrickson was at a red stop light when he was struck from behind by a 1995 GMC SUV.
The driver of the SUV, 53-year-old Gregory Rogers of Fargo, was arrested at the scene by West Fargo police on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Hendrickson was taken to Sanford Medical Center for treatment of his injuries and later released.
