The Lake George Senior Citizens are sponsoring the event as a fundraiser for the senior center

The play begins as Blue Bell is telling her husband, Raymond, that she is in the "family way" (Bun in the oven - pregnant).

Raymond gets the jitters as he is worried about the cost and Blue Bell is dreaming of giving birth on Dixie and Lawrence Buck's pontoon in the middle of beautiful Lake George.

Blue Bell's parents are Ma and Pa Kettle who live in a hunting shack in the Paul Bunyan State Forest near Lake George.  Raymond's family lives in a mansion on the shores of Lake George and is considered uppity by the locals.  Both mothers-in-law hate each other and frequently battle for control - with hilarious results.

Cora Bell Kettle and little brother Joey are tricksters and often get into trouble.

Lena is attracted to Pa Kettle's moonshine and sometimes takes a second, third and forth helping leading to some side-splitting situations.

Pastor Don Kirchner and Julie Kaiser team up in a song titled, "South From Becida".

There is dancing, singing and audience participation.

Tickets are available at Beagle Book Store in Park Rapids, Lake George Café, Bad Cat Creations in Bemidji. There is no evening performance Oct. 31.
