Ethel R. Dodge, 90, of Park Rapids, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Essentia Health in Fargo, N.D.

Ethel was born June 19, 1923 to Ferdinand and Lillian (Lindemann) Nimmerfroh on a farm near Avoca. At the age of five her family moved into Avoca where her father began working for Murray County. Ethel was educated in Avoca and Slayton.

In 1940, Ethel married Robert H. Dodge and then settled in Minneapolis. After World War II the couple moved back to Avoca. In 1950, they moved back to Minneapolis where Ethel worked in the printed circuit industry as a photo tech.

Ethel retired in 1971, moving to their home on Big Deep Lake in Hack-ensack, where they lived until 1993, and then they moved to Park Rapids.

Ethel was a woman of strong Catholic faith. She was a longtime member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Minneapolis, and St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in Park Rapids.

Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Raymond and Arnie; infant son, Harold; husband, Bob in 1999; and great-grandson, Nicolas Yaden.

Ethel is survived by her loving sister, Mickey Schmidt, Iona; four sons, Bob (Mary) of Park Rapids, Harry (Janice) of Ventura, Calif., Mike of Hawaii and Dennis (Michelle) of Park Rapids; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service: 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids.

Interment: St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Park Rapids.
