Erskine woman sentenced in hunting-dog cruelty case
A woman accused of mistreating hunting dogs in rural Erskine, Minn., was ordered Monday to serve 10 days in jail and a year on probation.
Rebecca Rae Thompson, 34, pleaded guilty to 29 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty.
On June 29, authorities seized 29 hunting dogs from Soaring Eagle Setters, a dog-breeding operation run by Thompson and Mikki Jay Johnson.
