Enterprise seeks recipes from readers for new food column
The Park Rapids Enterprise is seeking recipes from readers for a new food column about to be launched.
"Home on the Range" will appear in the Wednesday edition on the People page and will feature recipes suitable to the season.
For example, the Enterprise is now seeking recipes for using and/or preserving garden bounty.
These may be time-honored family formulas or a recent find that has drawn ooohs and ahhhs from taste buds.
A postscript will continually advise readers as to what's being sought for future publications.
Soups and stews using root vegetables are on the menu agenda in September. Ideas for a Labor Day cookout (best rib recipes, for example) may be sought.
And reader suggestions and requests for the column content are welcome.
The Enterprise will credit the "chef" of each recipe. A bit of history or advice will be considered for publication, as well.
The recipes will also appear online.
E-mail submissions are preferred, but legible handwritten or typed recipes will be accepted.
