Earthquake rattles Alexandria this morning
An earthquake rattled the Alexandria area early this morning.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), a 2.5 magnitude rumbled at 2:20 a.m. Friday.
The Echo Press has received a few reports from residents who said they felt it. They described the quake as "loud" and "lasted a couple seconds." An Echo Press staff member, who lives in Alexandria, reported hearing and feeling her bedroom wall rattle briefly.
