A Fed Ex driver was transported to St, Joseph's Area Health Services at noon Thursday after being struck by a boat motor in a crowded parking lot.

The man suffered relatively minor injuries to his leg.

The accident occurred on Highway 34 in Park Rapids between Rapids Spirits, the municipal liquor store and Delaney's Sports Center. The Fed Ex driver was unloading cargo when the man pulling his boat began backing out of the lot.

The driver got sandwiched in between his truck and the motor.

His injuries are not believed to be serious.

Both businesses were very busy at the time.
