Diekmann gets investigator job
The Hubbard County Sheriff's Department has promoted deputy Colter Diekmann to the position of investigator.
The position opened up when former investigator Jerry Tatro was appointed chief deputy.
Diekmann has been with the department five years, beginning in May 2004 as a transport officer. Since then he's been a part-time deputy, then went full-time three years ago.
"I've solved 20 to 25 burglaries with convictions," he told the county board Wednesday. He said he's assisted in drug and criminal sexual crimes, worked on an attempted murder case and taken classes to interview child victims, he said.
He is a graduate of the St. Paul center for criminal justice and law enforcement.
