DFL Party, defeated lawmakers, start long road back in region

That more than 200 people attended an appreciation dinner for two defeated incumbents "is a sign that the DFL Party is ready to come back in 2012," Sen. Mary Olson said Monday night.

The Beltrami County DFL-sponsored walleye and wild rice Presidents Day fish fry at the Bemidji Eagles Club honored Olson, DFL-Bemidji, and Rep. Brita Sailer, DFL-Park Rapids, both defeated in last fall's election.
