Bagley used a 20-2 run to start the game, a 16-0 run to end the first half and a 21-0 run early in the second half to defeat the Park Rapids girls basketball team 69-14 Thursday night at the Area High School gym.

A jumper by Charity Ridlon kept the Panthers within 6-2 with 13:59 to play in the first half when Bagley took control by scoring the next 14 points over the next 8:36. Kari Skersick and Sean Benson had two baskets apiece during that run.

A jumper by Megan Grimes at the 5:23 mark, two free throws by Katie Klein at the 5:06 mark and a jumper by Ridlon at the 4:26 mark made it 22-8.

Skersick and Benson scored the next 16 points as the Flyers entered halftime with a 38-8 advantage.

After Ridlon's two free throws made it 40-10 with 17:05 to play, Bagley went on a 21-0 run. Skersick scored 10 points during that run as the Flyers built a 61-10 lead with 11:50 to play.

Ridlon ended that run with a free throw at the 11:35 mark. The Panthers managed only a free throw by Klein with 9:37 to play and a layup by Greta Hanson with 5:01 remaining the rest of the way.

Skersick finished with 32 points and Benson added 17 as Bagley improved to 12-12 on the season.

The Panthers' record fell to 1-20.
