Dean James Jindra, 53, of Park Rapids, passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 in Park Rapids.
He was born to Isabelle and Gene Jindra in Park Rapids July 15, 1959.
Dean attended parochial school through his primary grades and then Park Rapids Schools until his graduation with the class of 1977.
In his childhood years he enjoyed playing baseball at the "neighborhood lot" with neighborhood friends and siblings, and against the southside kids who came over to the northside lot.
When Dean was elementary age his dad would remark, "Dean can judge a fly ball as well as any young kid I've seen."
He is survived by his father, Gene of Park Rapids; brothers, Kevin (Marie) Jindra, Elk River, Hugh Jindra and Joel Jindra both from Park Rapids; sisters, Mary (Dave) Lehrke, Park Rapids and Julie (Scott) Delaney, West Fargo, N.D.; nephews, Derek, Tyler, Zack and Billy; nieces, Allie, Bobbi, Roni, Patty and great-nephew Denver.
Dean was preceded in death by his mother, Isabelle; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Memorial visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening, Aug. 29, at the Cease Family Funeral Home Chapel in Park Rapids.
