Beloved baby David John Stensing-Oakley, a very special little angel, arrived to be with us on April 30, 2014. On May 6, 2014, he left us to be joined with the Lord due to a very rare heart condition he had.

Baby David touched everyone he met in an unexplainable, very special way in the six amazing days he was here with us. He will be missed so much, and by so many.

Baby David is survived by his parents, Sherri Stensing of Park Rapids and Jared Oakley of Grand Rapids; paternal great-grandmother, Delores Oakley; paternal grandparents, Tim and Jenine Oakley of Grand Rapids; Godfather/uncle, Jake Oakley of Mineral Springs, N.C.; maternal grandparents, Dave and Liz Stensing of Colorado; Godmother/aunt, Barbra (Josh) Wicks of Park Rapids; great-aunt, Merry Maurer of Hackensack; and cousins, Dylan, Chloe and Isabella Wicks, and Lexiss, Briley, and Madison Oakley; amongst many more loving relatives and friends.

Baby David was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Suzy Parks; great-grandparents, Marilyn & John Stensing; great grandparents, Virginia and Joseph Smith; cousin, Kristina Lee Brummer; and his paternal great-grandparents, Peter and Genevieve Donnell and Robert E. Oakley.

Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home in Park Rapids. Pastor Stephen Norby will officiate.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service.
