Crookston uses six forfeits to defeat Panthers
Crookston took advantage of six forfeits in a 54-20 win over the Park Rapids wrestling team Tuesday night at Crookston.
Jared Sunram opened the match with a 9-0 major decision at 106 pounds before the Pirates were awarded four consecutive forfeits for a 24-4 lead.
Ben Baumgartner's 15-5 major decision at 138 pounds and Justin Dravis' pin at the 2:25 mark of the 145-pound match closed the gap to 24-14 before the Pirates won the next three matches for a 42-14 advantage.
John Kyllonen concluded the scoring for the Panthers with a pin at the 3:07 mark of the 182-pound match.
Crookston ended the match with pins at 220 and heavyweight as the Pirates improved to 3-3 in dual meets.
Park Rapids' record in dual meets fell to 4-9.
