Crash near Ulen claims third life
A third person involved in a rural Clay County crash Thursday died from injuries suffered in the head-on collision, the Minnesota State Patrol reported Friday.
The three people, including a pair of sisters, killed in the crash near Ulen, Minn., are from Fargo and Moorhead.
The Minnesota State Patrol identified all three people Friday morning:
* Delphine L. Braaten, 76, of Fargo.
* Harriet D. Selleys, 65, of Fargo.
* Deette K. Tinkler, 39, of Moorhead.
Braaten and Selleys were traveling south in a 1998 Oldsmobile Silhouette van on Minnesota Highway 32. Tinkler, driving a northbound 1996 Dodge Intrepid, crossed the center line, resulting in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
Braaten, the driver of the van, and Selleys died at the scene. The two women are sisters, according to Forum archives.
Tinkler, formerly of Fertile, Minn., had been airlifted to a Fargo hospital after the crash but later died from her injuries, the State Patrol said.
