Corrected: Charges filed in June crash that injured 3
A Sebeka woman will make her initial appearance in Hubbard County District Court Feb. 6 in connection with a serious two-vehicle accident south of Park Rapids last summer that resulted in injuries to two women and herself.
Colleen Marie Conley, 53, is scheduled to appear on a charge of Criminal Vehicular Operation - Driving in a Grossly Negligent Manner, Driving Without Insurance and Driving After Revocation.
Because Conley has not appeared yet the Hubbard County Attorney's office has not released the formal complaint.
A blood draw was taken at the scene June 16 to determine if alcohol played a role in the crash. According to the State Patrol report, "She admitted drinking 3 beers earlier in the day. Smelled faintly of alcohol at the scene."
The Patrol said Nancy Dero, 55, of Manahga, was westbound on Highway 87 in a GMC Safari van. She was broadsided by a northbound Honda Accord on County 11 driven by Conley.
Dero suffered a crushed left hand and possible internal injuries, according to the accident report. She was taken to St. Mary's Essentia in Detroit Lakes.
Conley's passenger, Rachel Faulk, 27, of Brainerd, suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries.
She and Conley were airlifted to Innovis Hospital in Fargo.
According to the accident report, Conley suffered a broken collarbone, broken right wrist, a fractured pelvis and multiple broken ribs.
Numerous agencies responded to the accident on a sunny evening.
Conley has previously been convicted of having an Open Bottle in her vehicle and Driving Without Insurance.
