Convicted rapist now living in north Fargo
A former Horace, N.D., man convicted of rape has moved to the Fargo area.
Adalpe Leal recently completed a five-year sentence for raping two girls in May 2004 while they baby-sat his girlfriend's 6-month-old child. Prosecutors are trying to revoke Leal's probation because he failed to complete sex offender treatment while in prison.
A hearing has been set for June 15.
Leal lives at 1315 1st. Ave. N. Apt. 6, according to a news release.
He is considered a high-risk offender and must register for life. He also has prior convictions for a 2004 sexual assault of a 17-year-old female in Cass County and a 1996 sexual assault in Pennington County, Minn., involving a female acquaintance younger than 15, the release stated.
