Computer classes offered in September
Park Rapids Community Education and Minnesota Rural CEP have partnered to offer free computer classes of the Minnesota Intelligent Rural Communities program for the Park Rapids region.
This effort was made possible through a grant from Blandin Foundation.
All classes are held in room F300 in the
Frank White Education Center, 301 Huntsinger Ave.

n Basic computer will be offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. either Wednesday and Friday, Sept. 12 and 14 or
Tuesday and Friday, Sept. 18 and 21.
This class will help participants become comfortable with the computer by learning basic computer language as well as the start-up and shut-down process and mouse and keyboard usage.
Basic Internet and e-mail will be covered in classes from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 .
This class will focus on learning skills to search the World Wide Web, learn parts of the Web page, how to browse the Internet or find something specific, and how to utilize what we find.
n Basic Windows - intro to word processing will be offered from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Monday and Wednesday, Sept. 24 and 26.
You know how to turn on your computer; now what? These classes will introduce Microsoft Windows and how to utilize its programs. Participants will also create a simple word document.
n A computer lab with open hours will be available to students once they have completed a class. The schedule will be given to the students at class.
