Comedy coming to town for New Year's
This New Year's Eve, comedy is coming to town so people don't have to drive hundreds of miles to get it.
Two Minnesota native comedians will visit the area to kiss 2009 goodbye with some laughs during a New Year's Eve bash that will begin at 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31 at Blueberry Pines Golf Club.
Jeff Bergs of Alexandria, one of the Midwest's best impressionist and comedians, will perform some situational humor that has delighted audiences throughout his career.
From life's everyday happenings, to television advertising and movies, Jeff's style and stage presence is sure to thrill the audience at Blueberry Pines.
Elle K. of Elk River, was a semi-finalist in the Twin Cities Funniest Person contest and is a 15-year comedy veteran. She works at comedy clubs and colleges across the Midwest.
Producer of the show is Rox Tarrant said she expects a full house at the event. She added that she enjoys bringing comedy shows to smaller communities and is looking forward to celebrating the new year at the show.
"People have had a tough year with the economy," she said. "This is a great way to round out your old year and bring in the new year with some laughs."
