Coborns spark win at Wadena
Tucker Coborn's two goals and Sam Coborn's three assists led the Park Rapids-Menahga boys hockey team to a 3-1 win over Wadena-Deer Creek Monday night at Wadena.
The Panthers held a 12-3 edge in shots, but Trevor Ness' goal gave W-DC a 1-0 lead after the first period.
The Coborns assisted on Ian Johnson's goal 5:52 into the second period before Sam Coborn set up Tucker Coborn for a power-play goal at the 11:03 mark. Park Rapids used a 12-4 edge in shots in the second period to build a 2-1 lead.
Tucker Coborn concluded the scoring at the 10:26 mark of the third period as Johnson and Sam Coborn received assists.
Goalie Brady Yrjo made 12 saves for the Panthers while Allen Uselman had 27 saves for the Wolverines.
Park Rapids held a 53-17 edge in shots in a 6-2 victory over W-DC earlier this season.
The win lifted the Panthers' record to 14-6-3 while W-DC fell to 12-11-1.
The Panthers ended the regular season with a pair of Section 8A games at Kittson Central Thursday night and at Crookston Friday night.
