In loving memory of Clifford Duane Johnson who was unexpectedly called home by Jesus on Friday, June 13, 2014, at the age of 66.

Cliff was born Nov. 20, 1947 in Minneapolis to William and Audrey (Lightfoot) Johnson, the third of four children. He attended Minnehaha Academy and Washburn High School.

Cliff married Carol Thorsfeldt, also of Minneapolis, Nov. 23, 1968 and they were blessed with two children, Troy and Trisha.

Cliff was a mechanic and relocated with his work to California, North Carolina and Florida before retiring from the airline industry and returning home to Minnesota in 2003. An 11-year resident of Park Rapids, he loved to volunteer at his church, fish, hunt, restore model trains and tinker with anything.

Cliff will be remembered by his wife of 45 years, Carol; son, Troy of Auburn, Ga.; daughter, Trisha Evans and her husband Harold of Kennesaw, Ga.; grandchildren, Jeff Johnson, Aaron Evans and Brooke Evans; sister, Ginny Anderson and husband Bruce of Bloomington; sister, Peggy DeGeest of Vallejo Calif.; and brother, Don and wife Nancy of St. Croix Falls Wis.

Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, William and Audrey Johnson.

Funeral services: 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18 at Faithbridge Church, 505 Park Avenue S., Park Rapids. Pastor Marty Geise will be officiating.

Visitation: 5 - 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 17 at Jones-Pearson Funeral Home, Park Rapids.

Casketbearers: Ron Jensen, Bruce Henderson, Roger Henderson, Troy Johnson, Harold Evans and Jeffrey Johnson.

Interment: Lakewood Cemetery, Minneapolis.
