Joseph Schweitzer, left, and Skyler Howard, both of Park Rapids, planted sedum in a parking lot median on the Brainerd campus of Central Lakes College Thursday as part of their studies in Landscape Technology in the Horticulture program of the community and technical college. Instructor Jeff Dirks said sedum is a hardy, drought-resistant perennial that will help grounds-keepers reduce the use of water, resources, and time.
